All Glory Be To Christ by King’s Kaleidoscope – Sunday Songs

King’s Kaleidoscope is one of the ‘house bands’ which lead the singing at (US) Mars Hill churches.
All Glory Be To Christ is a song from their end-of-year 5 track EP Joy Has Dawned.
The song’s lyrics are set to the familiar tune of Auld Lang Syne. Now, one of my sisters-in-law hates Auld Land Syne with the blazing power of a thousand suns (or at least she used to), but this set of words is very good and makes it pretty tolerable, at least.
We sang it tonight at mgpc, and we’ll probably sing it again next week as well.
This is the album version of the song, courtesy of bandcamp, where the whole album only costs US$4.

The lyrics:
1.
Should nothing of our efforts stand
No legacy survive
Unless the Lord does raise the house
In vain its builders strive
To you who boast tomorrow’s gain
Tell me what is your life
A mist that vanishes at dawn
All glory be to Christ!
Refrain.
All glory be to Christ our king!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign will ever sing,
All glory be to Christ!
2.
His will be done, His kingdom come
On earth as is above
Who is Himself our daily bread
Praise Him the Lord of love
Let living water satisfy
The thirsty without price
We’ll take a cup of kindness yet
All glory be to Christ!
Refrain.
All glory be to Christ our king!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign will ever sing,
All glory be to Christ!
3.
When on the day the great I Am
The faithful and the true
The Lamb who was for sinners slain
Is making all things new.
Behold our God shall live with us
And be our steadfast light
And we shall ere his people be
All glory be to Christ!
Refrain.
All glory be to Christ our king!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign will ever sing,
All glory be to Christ!

Here’s a film clip of the band singing the song.
